The Canadian International Resources and Development Institute (CIRDI) is a coalition of The University of British Columbia (UBC), Simon Fraser University (SFU), and École Polytechnique de Montréal (EPM) formed as an independent, international Institute to assist developing countries to leverage the potential of their natural resources of minerals, oil and gas, into long-term sustainable livelihoods.
This year’s IGF Annual General Meeting has attracted the highest number of participants to date: over 280 representatives from 55 countries, and 45 of those are developing countries.
